A multiple-vehicle collision involving a wrong-way driver on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Hillsdale Boulevard in San Mateo Sunday morning has killed at least two people and caused a closure of all lanes except one in each direction, the California Highway Patrol said.

Four vehicles were impounded and a handful of drivers were cited for various violations as a result of a DUI/drivers license checkpoint on Friday evening in Fairfield.
